| About Me My name is Todd Chamberlain and I've been collecting Star Wars items continuously since 1977. While I was only 6 when Star Wars came out and my "collection" was meager in the early years, there has never been a time when I've given up actively looking for Star Wars stuff. My initial interests were strongest in the Kenner toys, but along the way I've developed an interest in foreign toys, store displays, food promotions, and theatrical items. My tastes tend to be eclectic--I collect what I like rather than feeling tied to completing entire runs of every kind of item. My main interests focus on items from the 1976-79 era, whether it be cast & crew items, store displays, or boxed Kenner toys. I hope to one day complete a set of all the vintage Kenner and Burger King store displays. I am also passionate about the vintage Lili Ledy toys from Mexico due to the weirdness of the large dolls from 1978-79 and the multiple variations in the 3 3/4" figures sold in 1983-84. See my Want List link to see specific items I'm trying to find. In my "other" life, I just started the doctoral student in the Higher Education Administration program at Indiana University, in Bloomington, IN. Growing up in Oregon, I consider myself a temporarily misplaced Pacific Northwesterner, but I'm enjoying my time experiencing the eastern US. I enjoy camping and road trips and try to spend several weeks on the road each summer exploring the east. I even try to take a vacation from Star Wars collecting on those trips! :-) |
